Typically a crown is fixed restoration that entirely covers a damaged tooth or placed on top of an implant; while a bridge is a fixed restoration designed to replace missing one or more teeth.

They can be done with different materials including full metal, porcelain fused to metal, full zirconia, porcelain fused to zirconia or full porcelain.
